Marc Stephen Goldberg was a famous male porn star known as Marc Wallice in the 1990s. During his career he won several AVN awards, made a lot of money for a lot of people, and did some gay escort work on the side while abusing drugs. Eventually he contracted the HIV virus and hid it so that he could keep on working. As a result he infected serveral others on the job including Brooke Ashley and Tricia Devereaux.
In 2018 the Showtime network released a documentary about Marc Wallice called "Porndemic" in which several stars were interviewed including Ron Jeremy and John Stagliano, The movie painted a clear picture of a monster that was either purposefully infecting girl after girl or just did whatever he could to salvage his career with no regard for the women he worked with.
The interviewees retrospective described the horror felt by the industry when star after star began testing positive for HIV. None of the infected could figure out who gave them the virus, so star after star began getting tested except for Marc Wallice. When people started wondering why Marc Wallice refused to get tested he eventually produced a clean HIV test. He was then accused of forging the test, but there is a question as to whether or not inaccuracies on the test were caused by Marc or the company that processed the tests. Others have theorized that he may have had a really low viral load that produced a false negative.
Whether the HIV test was fake or not, Wallice's behavior at that time indicates that he either knew of his condition or suspected that he may have had the condition and did not want to know for sure.
